A Word from Our Pastor and Leader:

• In
a message to The Mother Church, Mary Baker Eddy said: “Your dual and impersonal
pastor, the Bible, and “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,” is with
you; and the Life these give, the Truth they illustrate, the Love they
demonstrate, is the great Shepherd that feedeth my flock, and leadeth them
“beside the still waters.”

• Mary Baker Eddy who was a
prolific and influential writer, teacher and religious leader, founded it. A
serious accident in 1866 resulted in a profound healing through prayer, then
she strove to find out how this healing, found in the Bible and in Jesus’
works, could be practiced consistently by all mankind. She began to heal others and teach them
to do the same with a method that was eventually named Christian Science.
